Tankless Water Heater

Are you tired of waiting for the tank to fill before heating the water or running out of hot water as you have a shower? Then tankless water heater will really make you happy!

As the name suggests this water heater does not have a tank. It provides you with hot water as and when you want and as long as you want. In traditional tank, water is filled in the tank and then heated but in tankless devices once you open the tap and switch on the heater, water is heated and you get instant hot water.

There are two types of these water heaters available. One uses electricity and the other uses gas or propane. They both work on the same principle. The heating element heats the water and you do not have to wait for the tank water to heat.

Tankless heater is a great method of saving on your monthly bills as you will be using hot water only when you want to. The tank water heater on the other hand keeps heating the water even if you do not need hot water and so the energy consumption is very high. Tankless heaters are small so they do not take up a lot of place and are easy to maintain. They last much longer than the traditional tank heaters.

Tankless Water Heater
If you have a big house then you may have to install two devices as it will be easier to have a shower and run the dishwasher at the same time. There are many companies that have come up with tankless heaters such as Bosch, Rinnai, Paloma, Noritz, and Whirpool.

Whirlpool water heaters are offered in four basic options. You can choose from the electric, energy smart, gas water heater and gas powered or flame lock water heater. Whirlpool water heaters are excellent in quality. Paloma water heaters are offered with the sophisticated ICAD technology that offers protection from carbon monoxide. It is about 33% more efficient and the water heaters are built in such a manner that they pass through very stringent emission rules.

Rinnai water heaters come with a 12 year warranty on the heat exchanger and the life span of the water heater is about 20 years. Bosch is a company well known for its superior quality goods. They also offer electric water heater and gas water heaters. The average tankless water devices from Bosch come with a life expectancy of 20 years and provide energy savings of up to 50%.

So if you want to cut down on your energy bill and are tired of waiting for hot water to get really hot, purchasing a tankless water heater is a good solution. If you go in for gas water heater you may have to change your gas line but in the long run tankless water heater will save you a lot of money as the energy consumption will be much lesser.
