Spring Cleaning Tips

Cleaning need not be a monotonous chore. You can follow certain easy spring cleaning tips and enjoy keeping your home clean and tidy. The weather gets a little warmer during spring and the days start getting longer. Hence, this is the ideal time to start revamping and cleaning your home. Some of the products you use for spring cleaning cause harmful effects. Hence, it is advisable to use certain natural ways to spring clean. Natural cleaning products such as lemon juice and vinegar not only keep your home clean, but also leave a fresh smell.

You can use lemon juice to clean brass and copper utensils. You can mix lemon juice with vinegar and baking soda and use it to clean surfaces and stains.

Lemon juice and olive oil mix can provide a shiny appearance to your hardwood furniture. You can discard lemon peels in the garbage disposal, in order to provide a fresh small to the kitchen.

Vinegar is another effective substance that can clean glass vessels, windows, TV and computer screen well. If you use chemical glass cleaners that contain ammonia, they may irritate your lungs and airways. If you have chronic lung or heart problem, just avoid using them.

Spring Cleaning Tips
Vinegar is a natural substance that is safe for both adults and children. You can clean bathroom scum on taps and tubs, sinks, toilet bowls and countertops with vinegar. Vinegar can be used as a fabric conditioner too. You can use it to clean the kitchen appliances, stovetop and floor.

One of the most important spring cleaning tips is to clean one room at a time. This helps you to complete the cleaning task faster. While cleaning the kitchen, remember to spend time cleaning the refrigerator too. You can place a box of baking soda in the refrigerator and freezer, as it absorbs unwanted odors.

If your home has wooden floors, then you can make them sparkle with natural products. You can mix vinegar in warm water and clean the floor well. Excess water in the floor can cause damage to it, so wipe away the water completely. If your home has natural unsealed wood floor, you can use linseed oil for cleaning.

To remove stains from carpets, you can use white vinegar and water. Mix a little dish detergent that does not contain harmful chemicals with the vinegar. Then spray the solution on the stains and scrub with a brush. Rinse the carpet thoroughly. You can also apply shaving cream over the carpet stains.

Follow these simple spring cleaning tips to clean and deodorize your home. A good idea is to put one or two bay leaves at the bottom of the kitchen drawer to discourage bugs.
