Organic Makeup

Our skin absorbs a large quantity of the products that we subject it to. It is a breathing and live network of tissues and whatever it takes in goes into the blood stream and blood circulation.

Several surveys and studies have declared that by the time a woman reaches the age of sixty years, she has consumed thirty pounds of the components present in her make up, moisturizer and any other thing that her skin is subjected to. Cosmetics affect our skin in a major way and the effects generally start showing at a later stage. This is what makes organic makeup very beneficial and necessary.

Organic makeup is increasingly gaining popularity as it is chemical free and does not have a negative impact on our skin. The chemicals that cosmetics are made out of have an extremely hazardous effect in the long run and not much can be done about it after the damage is done.

This outcome is known as the ‘chemical cocktail effect’. Cancer causing elements and irritants are present in almost all cosmetic products that we use daily. Most of these chemicals are made synthetically and are potentially harmful to the skin. These concerns are bringing out a huge shift in the cosmetic industry and people are turning to chemical free, organic make up for their personal use.

Organic make up is made out of plant and mineral extracts. These extracts are mixed with strong anti oxidants that are also removed from plants.

Organic Makeup
This makes for beneficial make up products that are not harsh and yet effective. Organic make up consists of some important components such as Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Safflower oil, Vitamin B5, Chamomile, Almond oil, Rose water, Rose absolute, Jojoba oil, Carrot oil, etc. These ingredients have nurturing and nourishing properties. Dry skin is softened and the skin remains hydrated. Vitamin C is a powerful anti oxidant. Vitamin A and carrot oil serve the purpose of a toner than softens facial skin. Vitamin B5 is an excellent hair conditioner. Jojoba oil makes skin resistant to pollution, stress and extreme weather conditions. Chamomile aids in repairing and rejuvenating damaged tissues and almond oil reduces irritation. Rose water and rose absolute lend a subtle fragrance and make the skin supple.

We lead lives where presentation is important and women are prone to applying make up everyday. The products we choose to apply on our skin must be chosen with utmost care as they have a lasting effect on our skin. There are times when make up is applied twice or thrice in the day without even removing traces of the previous one on.

Organic makeup is your best bet if you are someone who applies make up daily and/or is fond of applying makeup every time you step out. There are several brands available in the market that manufacture organic make up and organic skin care products. Do ensure that you read the ingredients present on the label of the product.

They may carry the organic seal but yet may contain chemicals in certain proportions. So take care to read and test the product before using it on your face.
