Natural Stress Relief

Natural stress relief is anything that reduces or eliminates stress without the use of chemicals and prescription drugs. Stress relieve can involve herbal remedies or it can be an exercise such as yoga.

There are many different types of natural relief for stress. You may have to search a bit to find one you are comfortable with. The last thing you want is a stress relief technique that causes you more stress.

Sometimes, stress relief takes the form of taking control of the situation. For instance, if you are always doing things for other people, learn to say no. That eliminates some stress in itself. Changing ourselves often does a great deal to eliminate a lot of stress from our lives.

  • Herbal remedies: Chamomile tea has been known for centuries to calm people. It has very relaxing qualities. The nice thing about chamomile is that it can go into a tea, and even into bath water for relaxing affects.

  • Exercise: Getting daily exercise has helped many people control the stress in their lives. Even a brisk walk around the block can help.

  • Look at the big picture: Often, it is just a matter of how we view things. If we are stuck in line at the supermarket, instead of being stressed about it, take the opportunity to just relax or find something productive to do with that time. This is a very helpful stress relief technique.

  • Get rid of perfectionism: You may not think you are a perfectionist but in reality, many people are. Ask your family and friends. You may be surprised at what you find out.

These are just five simple, very easily implemented natural stress relief techniques that you can employ. There are others to choose from as well, but even a quick-start with one or two good techniques like these will have a dramatic impact on your life and health that you will feel almost instantly.
