Our home is where we can make smart choices about how we live our lives and how we affect our environment.
When we purchase anything, be it food, home products
it is important to notice :
where is made or grown,
what it is made of,
what the packaging is made of
what is left over from after we consume it
We are all aware of the environmental crisis affecting our planet
It is our responsibility to live in a conscious state and take action to prevent unnecessary materials from entering the landfills thus causing our carbon footprint to grow and grow.
So now we know that throwing away anything wastes precious raw materials and energy. About a quarter of the waste in the average household bin is packaging waste. We can see now how consuming products that are eco-friendly is best for the planet. We have the power to make an impact by making the smart choice to use sustainable, natural and organic products and reduce, re-use and recycle.
The decisions we make directly affect our planet as well as our family. To be able to give consumers the choices to make a difference and buy healthier, greener products means we ALL make the choice for a stronger, happier planet. Companies like the Green Seahorse care about these issues and want to lend a green hand.
New packaging materials and green technology are being developed to recycle and re-use waste. Innovative ideas for glass, plastic and metal and being introduced in many different industries like fashion art and design. Reducing waste means there will be less environmental impact, less resources and energy used and money SAVED. The amount of waste generated is increasing because lifestyles are changing so fast and convenience is the norm. But consumers can choose to "buy green" and the market will respond with greater variety, more innovation and lower prices for green products and services.
