Facts about tea reveal that water is the first consumed beverage all around the globe and second is tea.

There are lots of variations to this natural beverage that is why it is the second most consumed beverage. Some other interesting facts completely indicate that this beverage was originated in the country named China about 4000 years ago.

But for tea it took about 100 years to reach the other parts of the world. In 1600s the Dutch traders brought tea to the parts of west where later on it was traded to the other parts of the world.

The botanical name of this herb is Oenothera.

People who know about the history of tea know well that tea originated from Camellia Sinensis.

Camellia is grown in all the parts of the world as well as in some parts of United States.

There are different types of tea which comes out from the same plant like:

• Oolong tea
