Ayurvedic Herbal Remedies

Ayurvedic herbal remedies are essentially a combination of the plants, vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs and the vegetation used to balance the three energies within the human body.

Ayurveda is a traditional medicine widely used in India. This medical branch is categorized in the alternative medicine especially in the west. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit name which means knowledge or science of life.

Vedic period literature has the earliest documentation for the ayurveda. It has been influenced by the traditional works of that period. There are many methods, systems, surgical processes etc used in this method.

There are many techniques used in ayurveda like the massage therapy, yoga, meditation etc. Using this form of medicine is free of side effects. It is protective and even preventive in nature. These remedies are harmless and free of toxins. It is a very natural form of medicine and requires intense study. It has been successfully used for diseases and illnesses that have been prolonged, stubborn and are chronic in nature.

Ayurvedic herbal remedies cure your mental and physical health. There are no side effects. It comes from a belief that mind and body as connected. If there is a physical problem, the roots are somewhere in the mind. If you are emotionally disturbed, it can lead to various physical problems in the long run. This form of medicine focuses more on regaining an internal balance. This medicine is used externally and finds a place in one’s diet. There are ayurvedic facials, ayurvedic diets and pastes that can be used.

This system is based on the five elements of nature in combination with the three energy forces called the doshas. The doshas are known as the overriding principles which everyone is characterized with. Ayurvedic technique is to get an ayurvedic facial where one undergoes an assessment for the doshas. This in combination with the season will decide the treatment for you. These facial massages focus on the pressure points.

In the ayurvedic diet, a food chart is made depending again on your body type and the season. The assessment is done in detail. There are ten other attributes that are taken into consideration. They are diet suitability, constitution, physical fitness and age, essence, body measurements, stability, digestive capacity, psychic strength and abnormality. A good Ayurvedic medicine plan will include a good balance in the right diet, sexual activity, sleep, natural medicinal intake, excretion. It is very natural and places an emphasis on the appropriate natural cycles.

Ayurveda is a very extensive science. There is loads of information available on the web. Being familiar with the terms and the process is very easy. There are many tips and small time recipes as well available everywhere. It is important that one finds and visits an ayurvedic physician nearby. Though it is harmless, any kind of incorrect intake, especially for an illness is not recommended. Everything that is done systematically is always helpful. Following an ayurvedic medicine plan all by your self may not be a good option.
